Make sure you’ve marked your calendar for the first day of swim practice, May 27th!

• Arrive with enough time to have caps & goggles on ready to jump in the water at the start time of your practice! If you’re not early, you’re late!

• Swimsuit, Towel, Goggles (it’s always a good idea to have a backup pair)

• Swim Cap (*new swimmers get a new Barracudas cap on their first day of practice. If you’re a returning swimmer and need to purchase a new cap, it’s $10 cash, check to “Traceside Barracudas” or PayPal to tracesidebarracudas@gmail.com)

• Parents remember the code of conduct - remain around the perimeter of the pool deck as to not interfere during practice. Your swimmers, especially the littles, need to adjust to looking to their coaches for leadership and guidance. Don’t worry if your little is upset at first. They will have SO MUCH FUN!

As summer quickly approaches, one of the areas that we want to be prepared for is having trained volunteers to serve as Officials for our meets.  Having properly trained Referees, Starters, and Stroke & Turn Officials is critical to ensuring that our competitions are fair, fun, and opportunities for learning.   

NSL will be offering an In Person Official's Clinic on 5/18 at Wildwood, 4pm (should last about an hour)

Day 2 of City Meet includes the following age groups and times.

Warm ups will precede each session. (Warm up times will be sent out closer to City Meet.)

Session 1: 7-8’s. 9:00 am Meet Start time.

Session 2: 9-10’s. 1:00 pm Meet Start time.

Day 1 of City Meet includes the following age groups and times.

Session 1: Combined, 13-14’s and 15 & Up. 8:30 am Meet start time.

Session 2: 11-12’s. 1:00pm Meet start time.

Session 3: 6 & Unders. 5:00 pm Meet start time.

For our final dual season meet, we will host the Whitworth Sharks.

Getting ready for the home meet involves moving umbrellas, chairs, picnic tables, starting blocks, and setting up tents and tables for meet officials and home family shade. If any families want to bring their personal tents to add, this is a good time to set those up too.

We need anyone who is capable and available to get this done quickly!

On our BYE week, we will have fun as a team cheering each other on and running time trials!

Week 2 we travel up the road and are hosted by the BMCC Sharks.

We are excited to host the Tiger Sharks from Gordon JCC for our first meet of the 2024 season!

Mark your calendars: Back by popular demand, NSL Rules Interpreter, Austin Parsons, will be hosting an Officials Certification Clinic for Stroke & Turn, Starters, and Referees for all NSL teams on Sunday, May 19th at 2:00 at Ensworth.  Further details will come closer to the date.
